Disc valves (butterfly valve) DAVAN FLOWTEK are a type of pipeline shut–off and control valves. The main function of disc valves is to regulate the movement of the working flow and, if necessary, completely block it. There may be names of food disc shutter, rotary flap, rotary valve, slide shutter, milk shutter, butterfly flap, etc.

The principle of operation of the stainless food disc shutter is as follows: the disc is a movable locking element that moves freely inside the housing. The full rotation angle of the disc is 90 °. In the "open" position, the disk is parallel to the working flow along the axis of the housing. When there is a threat of reverse flow, the disk becomes perpendicular to the body, reliably blocking the working flow.
